SUMMER CAMP SWIM LESSONS

Cameron and Rena have spent the last two weeks at the Community Pool taking swim lessons. The camp started off really good -- both kids were happy to be there and having fun in the water........especially since it was an outdoor pool!

Unfortunately, the whole camp wasn't all fun -- for some reason Cameron decided he no longer wanted to swim. He spent almost 2 full classes sitting on the side of the pool watching his class. Why??? I'm still not really sure!

Fortunately, we have a happy ending. At the end of the second day of sitting on the side of the pool Cameron decided that the diving board looked like fun. So, he gave it a try and has been back swimming ever since. He now loves the diving board (no actual "diving" yet -- just jumps). He thinks it feels like you are "falling out of the sky!".

And, of course, if Cameron can jump off the diving board so can Rena!! She didn't try it the same day that Cameron did, but she was right up there with him the next day!

Maleah didn't get to take lessons -- I registered too late and her class was already full. She did good just hanging out at the pool with me. I really don't think she wanted to take anyway......maybe next time!

Maleah did very good keeping herself entertained in the locker room while Cameron and Rena got cleaned up! :) She looks like she's ready to swim!

It looks like the kids are enjoying the water. I am glad that Cameron decided to finish his lessons. That diving board looks like a good time also.
