CAMERON AND FRIENDS

Cameron's class had a day of "mad science" and a picnic to celebrate the end of the year. They rotated between classrooms for different science expirements and then had a pizza picnic outside.

KINDERGARTEN LUAU

Maleah's class celebrated the end of the year with a Luau. They played games inside and outside and just had a fun day.

Indoor fun was art and eating.....

Outdoor fun was bubbles, pineapple bowling, hula hoops and beach balls.....

UNDER THE SEA RESTAURANT AND PARTY

Rena's class celebrated the end of the year with a party and "Under the Sea Restaurant". The party consisted of an ocean experiment, ocean art projects and games. The restaurant was in the classroom with the parents serving the kids. Each student got a menu and had to mark what they wanted -- they could chose from things like fish sandwiches (turkey sandwiches cut in fish shapes), sea shell surprise (pasta with cheese), sea turtle eggs (meatballs), octopus sandwiches (hot dogs cut down the middle for legs), and LOTS more. For desert they got sugar cookies in the shape of shells, crabs and fish and got to decorate them themselves.

Here is the fun from the day.....

GO RENA GO.....

Girls against boys and the girls won.....

Time to eat.....

The dolphin even showed up for some fun.....

Rena had a great year in Mrs. Mecucci's first grade and is VERY EXCITED to be a second grader now!

RYAN HERREN'S GRADUATION

Last Friday the kids and I drove to Pine Mountain to visit the Herren's and celebrate Ryan's graduation. We missed the actual graduation, but had a great time celebrating. Not only did we get to see all of The Herren's, but we also got to see my dad, Peggy and Tami.

Dad got there on Thursday for the graduation and had to head home on Friday to work. We luckily got to see him for a few hours on Friday. Just enough time for him to buy us all an ice cream cone..... :)

At Gimi & Paul's house Peggy hung out with the kids watching some Scooby-doo.....

Saturday morning we had a little breakfast outside at our hotel before heading back over to The Herren's.....

Back over at The Herren's the kids really LOVED the dogs. Taylor had her dog there most of the time, but these two live there all of the time. Rosie and Lily......

Peggy was the cook for breakfast.....

Rena could not get enough of Rosie. She kept taking the dog on walks, but unfortunately poor little Rosie really didn't want to walk. On our walk to the park we ended up having to carry Rosie part of the way......

Lily did a little bit better and actually made it the whole way to the park. Although I don't think she was very happy about it......

While we were at the park Cameron headed to the driving range with Paul.....

The trampoline in Gimi & Paul's driveway also kept the kids entertained.....

We headed back home on Saturday night, but before leaving had to get some family photos --

The graduate, Ryan, with kids in their pj's and ready for the drive back home.....

Tami, Me and Gimi.....
Tami, Me, Gimi and Peggy......

It's always a good weekend for me when I get to see my family. It just always goes by too fast!

ALL AMERICAN PERFORMANCE

Last week three of the first grade classes at LaCosta Meadows put on an All American Performance. Rena was one of the lead singers for one of the songs. She did great and had a great time! Here she is during the performance.....

SCHOOL STUFF

The kids are finishing up their school year with some end-of-year programs and projects. Maleah had an end-of-year performance last week where the class sang some songs and then shared their memory books with their families. Maleah did really good and looked like she was having fun singing.....

Rena had an animal project that she did and presented to her class yesterday. She worked very hard and really knew a lot about Emperor Penguins by the time she was done. She gave her speech, presented her poster and diorama and answered lots of questions from the class. She did a great job and is now ready for a job at SeaWorld! :)

Cameron's class did powerpoint presentations for a final project. They worked in pairs and developed powerpoint presentations with different things that they learned throughout the year. Cameron and Adam gave definitions and examples of verbs, nouns, adjectives and a few others things that they learned. They did a great job and were the only pair to add sound to their presentation......way to go Adam and Cameron!

Projects are all done and now we just have one more performance and end-of-year parties to get through. Rena will be singing in the All American performace tonight and having a party next Tuesday. Cameron and Maleah are both having parties next Wednesday and then after that we will have a first, second and third grader.....YIKES -- where did this year go????

CAMERON IN ACTION

Cameron's baseball season is over and they had their end-of-season party last week. Cameron got a certificate and a trophy.....

One of the dads on the team took pictures of all of the kids "in action" throughout the season. Here's a few of Cam.....

Unfortunately only about half of the team made it to team pictures, but here they are.....
