NOT MUCH

Megan and Alex have now been here for two weeks and while we haven't been getting out all that much we are all still having fun. We have spent a lot of time swimming at our community pool, at the neighbors house and at a friends house. We have gone to the library many times to "report" on the books that the kids are reading (and to earn the prize and free meal coupons!) and we have spent a lot of time just "hanging out" here at home.

This was one afternoon up at the community pool. Our friend and neighbor, Meghan, was there playing with us also.....

One morning Maleah decided she wanted to make breakfast for everyone. Pancakes it was......

We have done movie night in the courtyard a few times. Saturday night this weekend was "The Tooth Fairy". Everyone seemed to like it.....

FUN WEEK

It was a great week with Megan, Alex and Stacy. Stacy arrived on Wednesday morning and stayed until this morning. The weather hasn't been that nice so we didn't do a whole lot, but we all had a great time!

The cousins.....

The girls had a great time baking with Stacy. One night Maleah and Stacy made chocolate chip cookies and the next day Rena and Stacy made cupcakes.....

Megan, Jacinda and Maleah playing around outside.....

On Saturday we drove north to Newport Beach for the afternoon. We were suppose to be meeting our cousin Gimi and a couple of her kids there, but the traffic and the parking was crazy so by the time they got there we packed up and just went out to dinner with them. We did get to spend a couple of hours on the beach ourselves, tho.....

Scott made it to the beach long enough to help us pack up (and get his picture taken)!

On Saturday night after the beach we set-up a movie in our "new and improved" courtyard. (We just had it redone with new pavers and a firepit -- comfy furniture is on it's way!)

Madagascar 2 was the movie for the night......

Unfortunately I had to take Stacy to the airport at 6 am this morning. We miss her already!!!

GRANDPA AND KIDS

The kids had a great time with Grandpa while he was here. He headed home to Las Vegas last night, but will be back in a few weeks to spend some more time with us before taking Alex and Megan back up to Washington.

We are excited this morning for another visitor.......we are headed to the airport in a couple of hours to pick Stacy up! She will be here just until Sunday, but we can't wait to see her!!!

YIPPEE......VISITORS

We have visitors!! Dad, Megan and Alex arrived Friday at 4:30 am. They left Puyallup on Thursday morning at 8:15 and drove straight through to our house. We are so excited they are here!

Of course we've been to the pool a couple of times already....

We went to a Saturday night outdoor church service and then had dinner in the parking lot.....

Jeff & Megan helping me with my homework. Megan seems to be the PowerPoint expert (but Jeff didn't want to admit it!)..... :)

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

We had a great 4th of July celebration with our friends and neighbors. Unfortunately the sun barely came out all day long, but luckily it didn't really bother any of us. The kids spent about 5 hours in the pool and the adults had a great time visiting and eating and drinking.

Maleah, Cameron, Frank, Rena & Greyson.....

Jeff is always throwing someone in (I was secretly hoping that he would fall in and we would all have a good laugh, but it didn't happen)...... :)

A nice relaxing day.....

KIDS GAMES

Last week the kids all did a church camp called "kids games". Maleah was in the kindergarten class where they do different activities each day, but Cameron & Rena both got to choose their main activity for the week. Rena chose cheerleading and Cameron chose basketball. They did other games and crafts also, but their main activity was whatever they chose at the beginning of the week.

Each day they had a different donation item and a different "theme". One day they were suppose to wear anything to do with their favorite sports team. So, of course, Rena chose the Puyallup Vikings.........ok, she really just wanted to wear the cheerleading outfit and it happened to be one of my old high school cheerleading outfits -- GO Vikings!........

Maleah wore Rena's halloween costume from last year. Again, she didn't care what team it was for she just wanted to look cute in the outfit...... :)

On Friday, the last day of camp, it was crazy hair day......

And when the camp ended at 12:15 there was a picnic lunch, bouncies for fun and a closing ceremony where Rena got to perform her cheerleading routines that she learned through the week......

A fun week!
