OUR NEW COUSIN

We drove to Naperville this past weekend to visit Aunt Peggy, Tami, Kari and family AND to meet the newest addition to the family!

Introducing Rylee Darlene:

Rylee was born on Thursday afternoon (to proud parents Craig and Kari) after a few hours of labor and then an emergency C-section. Thankfully, baby and mom are both doing great!

Rena was comparing her baby doll to the real baby.....they were pretty close in size!

Maleah really wanted to hold Rylee, but we convinced her that it would be fun to just touch her -- so we unwrapped little Rylee's toes (aren't they cute???) and Maleah touched!

Cameron had a great time playing with his cousins Carter and Noah. This is Carter showing Cameron his video game.

Carter and Noah went back to Peggy's house with us for a little while on Saturday night to eat and play with the kids. They all got along great and had a fun time!

Maleah wasn't to sure about Tami when she first met her. Tami tried to convince her that she's a good friend to have because she always has gum and she has some money too! Maleah still wasn't sure, but I know it won't take long for Maleah to realize those are both good things! :)

AND, here are the 5 kids in the hospital room -- this is how Jeff kept them entertained. Jeff blew up the gloves as balloons and Tami drew faces on all of them. I'm pretty sure Kari and Craig enjoyed the quietness in their hospital room after we left!

(If you're wondering what is on Rena's nose it's a purple bandaid.......she fell and hit her nose on a chair Saturday night and decided on Sunday afternoon that it still hurt and that she needed a bandaid for it. There was no scratch or any kind of evidence on the outside of her nose that she had even hurt it, but she said that it still hurt and that she really needed a bandaid. And, of course, it had to be purple -- because purple is her favorite color!)
