RENA'S FIRST HORSE RIDE

Last Sunday afternoon Rena got to go with her Girl Scout Troop to a horse ranch.  The girls got to brush the horses, ride the horses, give a horse a bath, make horse treats and feed the horses and make a little horse craft to take home.

Rena LOVED it all!  Here she is.......

This was her favorite horse -- polkadot......

Hadley and Rena - they shared polkadot.....

Rena is ready to ride.......

Rena and Ashlyn taking a break from riding and making their art project......

Bath time!......

Time to ride again!  This time they switched horses.....

This was the BIG horse -- Beamer.  At first Rena wanted nothing to do with him, but by the end of the day she was happy to ride him......

Time to let the horses rest -- but first, one last brushing.....

Making special treats to feed to the horses.......

Of course, Rena chose to feed her treat to polkadot......

The troop - Audrey, Lauren, Rena, Ashlyn, Emma, Hadley and Makayla.....

Rena now thinks that she wants to take riding lessons.  Ughhhhhhh!  I might be happier with the idea if I didn't spend 3-1/2 of the 4 hours there at the ranch not being able to breathe!  Allergies hit me as soon as we walked into the barn.  Luckily Rena doesn't have that problem and she had such a great day with her troop and the horses that she didn't want the time to end!  Maybe she can get her dad to take her to some lessons?!!?!!  :)

It looks like Rena was having a great time. You need to come back here. We have two horses next door she could ride. I love her hats all the time. They look so cute on her!!!!

Way to go, Rena! I don't encourage the kids to get into horses (WAY too expensive of a sport) but it is a fun hobby to have. Hope she isn't too 'horsey' for you and only needs/wants a few lessons :)
