A couple of weeks ago we took the kids out of school on a Friday and spent the day at Disneyland. We didn't tell the kids about it until that morning and they were EXCITED! We woke Maleah up playing M-I-C-K-E-Y-M-O-U-S-E, MICKEY MOUSE....... I think she was a little perturbed at first, but when she realized what it meant she was fine getting up!
We started the day at California Adventure. We got there before it opened -- here is everyone patiently waiting to go in.......
First stop -- Cars Land.....
Cameron & I went on the Ferris Wheel at California Adventure -- I definitely could have done with out this ride (not a favorite of mine) but Cameron wanted to go. He wasn't so sure he wanted to be there once we got on either, though. It has stationary cages and swinging cages -- he chose a swinging one -- and boy did it swing!.....
Maleah is the only kid that likes the fast roller coasters so she and Jeff spent the day going on a few rides without the rest of us -- this one actually goes upside in a loop -- she loved it! (She's the little one -- 3rd back)......
This picture is one that is taken by the park during the ride -- I just took a picture of the screen where they display it for you to buy -- was that wrong??? Can't tell if Maleah is having fun or not, but she says she did!
Rest time with Frozen Lemonade.....
We, of course, went on It's a Small World once we made it over to Disneyland. Isn't it a requirement to always go on that ride when you are there??? Jeff was beyond thrilled......
We climbed Tarzan's treehouse.....
Another favorite -- driving the cars.......
We ended up back over at California Adventure in the evening to watch the show over there. It was really good -- although you would have never guessed since the kids were so tired by the time it started that Cameron fell asleep, Maleah almost fell asleep on Jeff's back and Rena sat watching with ZERO emotion! I think I was the only one that enjoyed it (and even I thought it was a little long!)
After the show Jeff and Maleah went back into Disneyland for one last ride -- Maleah was dying to go on Space Mountain and the line was really long all day long that they got fast passes, but they weren't good until 10 o'clock at night -- so after the show Jeff and Maleah went back to use their fast passes on Space Mountain. I think she was glad that she got to go on it -- she says it was FUN, but I think she might have been asleep during it.
Maleah was so tired that she couldn't even stay awake on the 5 minute tram ride back to the car -- she laid her head down and she was out!......
It was a really fun day! We got to go on a lot of rides, see a lot of things and eat some good goodies!
We are very fortunate that we live so close and we can visit the parks when most people are in school......so, until next year!!........
