We started the weekend off on Saturday by heading to Downtown San Diego to go to the Padres baseball game. We were loaded with snacks, kids were excited and we were downtown before we realized that I had the wrong time for the game that day -- we arrived at Petco field at 1:15 for a 5:35 game......oops!! So, instead of a baseball game on Saturday we went and toured the USS Midway Museum. It is the "longest serving Navy aircraft carrier of the 20th century" and just happens to be right in San Diego about 5 minutes from Petco field......
The crews sleeping quarters.....
After our little adventure downtown we went back home and met up with our neighbors for outdoor movie night in their backyard featuring Nemo.....
The kids love it when we do this. We set up the tents for them, they all put on their pj's, climb in to their sleeping bags, eat popcorn and watch the movie. Everyone lasted through the whole movie except Maleah.....Jeff had to carry her home when the movie ended......
On Sunday, after we went to church and did a little bit of shopping, we headed up to the community pool. We were expecting it to be busy with the nice weather and holiday weekend, but NOPE....there was us (with the kids friends from next door) and about 10 other people. It was nice!
Rena.....
Jeff, Gabby and Maleah taking a break for a snack.....
Me -- just relaxin'.....
Maleah, Cameron, Rena and Gabby eating.....
Monday started out with Jeff & Cameron on a bike ride. The girls and I drove them up to "Double Peak Park" in San Marcos. It is the highest point in the City of San Marcos at 1,644 feet and has gorgeous views of the surrounding areas and the Pacific Ocean. Jeff & Cameron hopped on their bikes and made their way back down to Carlsbad. It was a long, but fun ride for both of them.....
After the bike ride it was off to another neighbors house for another barbeque. These neighbors live directly across the street from us, just moved in about a week ago and have a daughter that is 4 days older than Rena. As you can see they also have a pool that was a big hit!

Oh my, that looks like so much fun and I see lots of sunshine. All we did all weekend was pull weeds in the RAIN!!!!! I should have taken pictures of us. :) The good news is that the yard is looking better. The bad news is that it is so wet that they will all be back before you know it. I hope you get to go to another baseball game soon. That is so funny.
