EGGAPALOOZA 2012

Today was the annual Easter Festival at our church. It's a really big deal with a lot of things to do and eat. This year I volunteered for the first two hours so Jeff & the kids were on their own (which meant no pictures for those 2 hours!). I met up with them for awhile, tho, and did get a few shots (of course!) :)

Here's Rena riding a pony......

While Rena was riding the pony Cameron and Maleah were riding on the Ferris Wheel......

All of the kids (including Jeff) got tattoos -- can you see Jeff's manly pirate tattoo???.....

The kids got to join in on an Easter egg hunt -- not much of a "hunt" -- more of a "grab as many eggs as you can" race. :) They all got a lot of eggs all filled with candy!.....

There was a lot of food there so on our way out we stopped for a final sno-cone and cotton candy......

It was a great way to spend a beautiful day!

LONG BEACH STATE DIRTBAGS

OPEN HOUSE

Last Thursday the kids had Open House night at school.

Cameron's invitation to us......

We checked out Maleah's classroom and all of her hard work first. Here she is at your desk with some of her art work.....

Maleah next to her umbrella picture (the one to the left of her).....

This was on the wall and I just thought it was really cute that she wants to be a librarian to discover new books! :) ......

Maleah and her teacher, Mrs. Embree......

Next, was Rena's room!

Here is her desk and her paper mache elephant......

These are just a couple of the many pieces of art that she had to show us......

Finally, we made it to Cameron's room.

He had a cool powerpoint presentation that he made on Jupiter to show us.....

He also had his solar system project on his desk to show off (we had already seen this one since he did it at home)......

Some of Cameron's work on the wall......

On our way out we stopped in the cafeteria to see some more art work. Each class displayed one piece of art work per student. Here's Maleah's.......

No picture of the other two -- they were hanging way too high!

The kids had a great night showing off all of their work and it was fun to see everything that they have been doing in class. I was really proud of all of their hard work and all of the great comments that I heard from their teachers!

LEGOLAND

Last weekend we spent a fun day at Legoland. You've probably seen us doing all of this before, but here goes -- this was our day......

It was a sunny day in the morning, but the forecast did call for rain. Luckily it held off until about 4pm and we were able to enjoy a pretty nice day......

Time for rides......

Aren't these Bob and Wendy lego people cute???.....

Time for more rides......

Rena was so excited that she was tall enough to drive a boat by herself......

Cute penguin in The Adventurer's Club.....

AND time for more rides again......

We ended the day in the build and test building. Here's Rena building and testing her vehicle that she built -- it raced pretty well!......

ONE MORE PRESENT

Rena got to get one more birthday present on Saturday. Our friends Annie, Grace and Max (who the kids ride to and from school with every day) told Rena on her birthday that her present from them would be a visit to the Build-a-Bear store. Well, with our crazy schedules between the two families, this past weekend was the first time we had a chance to go. So, Rena got to celebrate her birthday one more time!

Here's Rena filling her duck with stuffing......

Rena got to choose 4 hearts for inside her duck and Annie, Grace, Maleah and I all chose one. We all made a wish for Rena, kissed the heart 8 times and put it inside.......

Bath time.....

Now, the hard part -- choosing just the right clothes and accessories......

Rena's duck, Fluffy, turned out pretty cute and Rena sure does love her......
