SATURDAY IN PUYALLUP

On Saturday morning we all headed down to The Farmer's Market in downtown Puyallup. We looked like tourists with all of our camera's going off......but it was fun.....

Saturday afternoon we kept ourselves entertained in Stacy and Mike's backyard. The quad's were a big hit....the best part of it was watching Peggy ride with Megan......I'm surprised Megan could even drive with how hard she was laughing.....

Ok, Peggy's ready -- go Meg......

Uh-oh, Meg actually stepped on the gas, now Peggy's nervous.....

One-time around and they were laughing so hard that they had to stop and take a break.....

Saturday night we stayed at the house, sat around the fire, roasted marshmallows, drank some good drinks and had some really great laughs!! Some "old" stories started surfacing and I think we shocked Dad and Peggy with some of the memories we were sharing.....of course we had to stick with the "mild" stories, though, because Megan & Alex were there! :)

Whew......another long and FUN day -- night, night, Peggy.....

SURPRISE!

Last weekend I got to take a trip to Washington to celebrate Stacy's 40th birthday with her. She knew that I was coming to hang-out, but didn't know that Mike & I were planning a surprise party or that Peggy & Tami were coming from Illinois.

I arrived late Thursday night and told her that I needed to borrow her car on Friday to go visit some friends. I took her to work on Friday morning and then actually headed back to her house to get ready for the party. Stacy was a little bit upset with me because on Friday's (especially before a holiday weekend) she often gets to leave work early, but since I had her car she was stuck at work. We also had her boss in on the surprise and he was not about to let her leave early. After work dad and Bonnie picked her up, took her out for a drink (which she now says somewhat gave it away because "when has dad EVER taken me out for a drink after work?") and then they had her back to her house at 6:30 for a party with over 60 of her closest friends!

Here she is coming into the house.....

Peggy & Tami hung out in the back of the kitchen until Stacy spotted them in the crowd. It was so fun......Stacy bunny hopped, crying, across the kitchen to them!

Stacy, Tami, Stefanie and Peggy.....

Here are some of the guests and the fun that we had.....

Marilyn and Jim......

Cousin David and his girlfriend & Stacy's bosses, Gaye & Vern, (who she was no longer mad at for keeping her at work all day!).....

Lisa, baby Shane and Stacy.....

Greg and Mike.....

Stacy and Stephanie.....

Olivia (Megan's best friend), Megan and Tami.....

Time for cake.....

Long-time friend, Anne Roff.....

Stacy and cousin Aaron.....

Cousin's Phil, Brianne, Sandy and Bill.....

Bill, David, Peggy and Sandy.....

LONG-time childhood friends -- Stacy, Stefanie, Stacy and Stephanie.....

Friends Greg and Missy & Stacy and Mike.....

Presents!! 40-one dollar bills -- along with a bag of depends, some prunes and a toilet plunger! She got some other "nice" things also......like flowers, jewelry, gift cards and books (some nice, some not-so-nice!).....

Unfortunately, clean-up time -- thanks Tony & Tami.....

Happy Birthday to my MUCH OLDER sister......
hope you had a great celebration, Stacy!
(I sure did!)

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Monday was the first day of school for all of the kids. This year they are all over at La Costa Meadows in kindergarten, first and second grade.

Ready to go.....

Still ready to go, but this time Rena says "let's hold up our fingers for the grade we are going to be in".....

WAIT...."Maleah, how many fingers are you holding up???".....

Rena says "Kindergarten is NO fingers".....Maleah gets upset.....

THEN, Maleah says "who cares, I'm holding up as many fingers as I want!".....and we are all happy and ready to go to school again.....
