END OF YEAR PARTIES

Today was Cameron's "Under the Sea Party" and Rena's Luau party in their classrooms to celebrate the end of the year.

Rena was ready for her party all dressed up for a luau....

Maleah was just ready to party.....

Cameron's Under the Sea Party had games, crafts and an "Under the Sea Restaurant" where the kids got to order off of menus and the parents served them. Here they are playing some games. Rena joined in (she's really ready for 1st grade) but Maleah just hung back with me.....

After we played in Cameron's room for a little while we headed over to Rena's room for the Luau. Maleah and I worked at the bubbles station......

Rena had a great time with all of her friends......

For a final celebration of the day we went out for frozen yogurt after school to celebrate the last full day of school and a great year by all.....

PRESCHOOL GRADUATION

Maleah graduated from preschool yesterday!

The graduates put on a cute little performance with a few songsand Maleah did a great job!

After the performance we went back to the classroom for a little celebration.....

Miss Bonnie, Miss Joan and Maleah.....

Maleah, Peggy and Graduation Bear (that Peggy brought for Maleah).....

Maleah was very excited about her graduation -- and is ready for Kindergarten!

WE LOVE VISITORS

We had a visit this past weekend from Aunt Peggy and my cousin Gimi and her family. They arrived Saturday evening and stayed until Monday night.

On Sunday we all went down to Balboa Park in San Diego. We walked around a lot of the gardens in the park and then went over to the Gaslamp District for some dinner.

Cameron and Scott at Balboa Park.....

Maleah.....

Next stop was the Cactus Garden. Jeff climbed a tree that I'm pretty sure he wasn't suppose to be climbing.....

Maleah posing in front of a tree.....

Paul, Gimi and Scott.....

Peggy, Scott, Cameron, Haley and Haley's friend Amanda were patiently waiting for us to finish at another garden -- (they had seen enough plants!).....

Cameron, Scott, Maleah, Gimi, Haley and Amanda waiting again.....

The couple of days visiting went by FAST! One last picture before Peggy had to leave.....

Let's play instead of cry saying good-bye.....

Can't wait for their next visit!!!!!

BEST FRIENDS.....TODAY

These girls are so funny (and frustrating!). Some days they are fighting with each other before they even get out of bed and other days (luckily like today) they are best friends. Today they wanted to dress alike (every time they changed their clothes), they wanted to play together, they wanted to sit by each other, they wanted to hug and kiss and hold hands and pose for pictures together.

I really love days like this.....

SEAWORLD FIELDTRIP

Yesterday all of the first graders at La Costa Meadows got to take a field trip to SeaWorld. The kids had to go to one show all together and then after that the class was split up and we were all on our own for the rest of the day. This was our group -- Paige, Sara, Adam and Cameron (and Maleah also).....

The Sea Lion show -- the one show we all went to......

The shark exhibit.....

The Polar Bears were a big hit. To get to the polar bears, though, we had to take a helicopter ride to get to "base station wild arctic" -- it was a motion-based ride that states "high anxiety is sure to ensue" and Cameron definitely had some high anxiety. He did NOT like the ride and I'm pretty sure he will never go on it again. Maleah, on the other hand, loved it and told me that she wants to go on it every time we go to SeaWorld.

Lunch time.....

Cameron gets a little goofy when he's around his friends and thought he was very funny with his pudding (his friends thought he was very funny also).....

We ran into Shamu while we were touring the park.....

Future SeaWorld employees.....

One last snack while waiting for the buses to go back to school.....

It was a fun field trip for the kids.....and the chaperones!

ALL ABOUT RENA

Most of the day today was all about Rena!!

The day started out with a "minimum day" at school -- which meant Rena had school in the morning instead of the afternoon. First it was flag salute just for the kindergartners.....

After flag salute we moved to the cafeteria where the kindergartners put on a performance with lots of cute songs and dancing.....

Since Rena went to school in the morning it was just her & I for the afternoon while both Maleah and Cameron were still in school.

We started the afternoon off by getting Rena's nails done.....

Rena had a smile on her face pretty much the whole time they were working on her nails.....

After her nails were done we headed over to McDonald's for lunch. "Look at my pretty nails".....

After lunch we had to have some ice-cream.....

After ice cream we went shopping. We went to the outlet mall looking for "twinkle toes" shoes. Luckily, we were successful and Rena came home with new shoes. She also rode a couple of rides at the mall (but pointed out to me that they were really too little for her). Here she is at the mall trying to show off her new shoes.....

The afternoon went by really fast, but it was a fun day for both Rena & I!
Time to go get Maleah from school......

Silly girl.....

MALEAH'S ALL-SCHOOL PICNIC

Yesterday Maleah's school cancelled classes and had an all-school picnic at a nearby park. There were a lot of people (kids), a lot of food, a lot of sun and a lot of fun!

Time for lunch.....

Time to play.....

Our new neighbor, Presley, went to Kindergarten at the same school that Maleah goes to Preschool so she was there for the picnic.....and for the girls to play with.....

Maleah & her teacher, Miss Joan....

Maleah & her other teacher, Miss Bonnie....

One last snack before taking Rena to school.....
