GO PADRES!

Last Sunday we went with Cameron's baseball team to the Padres game. The baseball teams all dressed in uniform and got to walk on the field before the game.

Hard to see, but this is the "parade" of all of the teams walking around the field.....

We found our seats and waited for Cameron to join us after the parade......

The girls and I got a little bored waiting for Cameron and the game to start so we went for a walk and ran into the Petco Dog, Red Ruff......

This is how Cameron & Jeff looked during most of the game -- unless they were high-fiving each other.......

I guess Rena got a little bored during the game because she decided to take a little nap......

Maleah and I managed to stay awake for the whole game......

SPRING BREAK

Our Spring Break this year was a little quieter than usual, but still fun.  This year was our first year that the kids and I haven't travelled back to Washington since we've been gone.  We decided not to go this year because we had just taken a trip to Las Vegas in February and because things have been a little bit different (and crazy) since I've been student teaching.

So, we stayed home -- we went to the pool once, we had lots of playdates with friends, we went to a movie, and at the end of the week Jeff's mom and stepdad came to visit. 

Unfortunately the weather here was not good while Lynne & Joel were here, so we didn't do much.  We still had fun, though.  We watched a few movies, did some shopping and went out to eat.

By the time they left on Sunday morning the sun was back out and we were back to having fun outdoors.  Here's Cameron, Joel, Lynne, Rena and Maleah saying our good-byes.....

HAPPY EASTER

It was a beautiful, great day around here today!!

We started off with baskets from the Easter bunny. Cameron was the first one up and was putting his new Lego Bionicle together before 6am. He also got the movie Kung Fu Panda 2, some Pokemon cards, a book and bookmark and some candy......

He had the Bionicle together in record time.....

Maleah was pretty happy with her basket too! She got a shirt, hat, headband, the movie Alvin and The Chipmunks Chipwrecked, a book and bookmark and some candy......

Rena was happy too! She also got a shirt, hat, headband, the movie The Smurfs, a book and bookmark and some candy......

Once they got through their baskets it was time for an Easter egg hunt. Our Easter bunny didn't hide our real eggs (probably because he came to our house so early that he didn't want them to sit out of the fridge all night long!) :) so he hid lots of fake eggs filled with jelly beans, peanut butter cups and Hershey kisses.....

.....until they saw Rena still looking AND still finding......

.....then everyone decided it was time to look again!......

After the egg hunt it was time to go to church. We went to the 8am service and then went out for coffee and doughnuts. Our first stop was Starbucks where I got a few pictures outside while we were waiting for Jeff......

Finally, we made it to the doughnut shop! It's a little tiny shop on Hwy 101 in Encinitas. It is a tiny little place and doesn't look like much, but they do have really good doughnuts!.....

After doughnuts we made a stop at a local nursery. Rena wanted to grow flowers, Maleah wanted to grow tomatoes and Cameron wanted to grow watermelons. So, we had to stop and get a few things (like flowers, tomatoes & watermelon plants!) I had a good time snapping pictures while we were there.....

After the nursery we headed home, grabbed some food and then went to the community pool. We have this nice big pool open to our whole neighborhood/community and we were the only ones there. It was great!

Rena and Maleah were ready for some sun in their new hats.....

Our crazy family -- they were all doing "cotton balls"! (That's what Maleah calls a "cannon ball" so everyone was jumping in yelling "cotton ball!"!)....

Time to go -- all showered and clean......

To end the day we had some baked potatoes and bbq'd chicken for dinner......

That was our beautiful, great day for today! We always have a lot to be thankful for and feel very blessed and on days like today I am reminded of this!

EGG COLORING

After Eggapalooza we came home to dye some Easter eggs......

We ended up with a lot of very colorful eggs for the Easter bunny to hide!
