HAPPY HALLOWEEN

This year we had a skeleton, a witch and supergirl......

AND, can't forget about Beach Bear! Rena earned the reward of bringing Beach Bear home from class to spend the weekend with her. We got out our old costumes and found that Beach Bear looked great as Piglet. He, of course, also went trick-or-treating with us.....

My cousin, Gimi, and her husband, Paul, came to visit on Sunday so they walked the neighborhood with us.....

WOW -- lots of candy! However, see that box of candy that Cameron is holding up? That would be the only, ONE box, of junior mints that they all got. ONE box of my FAVORITE candy out of all of that candy....ONE box.....just not fair! :)

PUMPKIN CARVING

After the pumpkin patch it was time to carve.......

Jacinda helped clean out the insides -- unlike the others she actually thought that part was kinda fun.....

Cameron did his entire pumpkin by himself this year......

PUMPKIN PATCH

On Saturday we spent the afternoon out at the Bates Nut Farm Pumpkin Patch. It was really a fun place with lots to do!

The straw maze had "stations" that the kids had to find to get stamps.....

We took a hayride.....

I have nothing to say that would explain this picture other than "dorks".....

There was a live band that we all enjoyed listening to and dancing with......

It took awhile, but Maleah got up on stage and joined the band......

We ended our trip picking out some pumpkins.....

HALLOWEEN PARTIES

Maleah and Rena both had Halloween parties in their classrooms today and I got to go to both of them to help out.

Maleah's classroom had four different stations set-up to rotate to. One of them was coloring a pumpkin.....

I was in-charge of pin the nose on the pumpkin. Here's Maleah and one of her friends after her group pinned their noses on.....

After Maleah's party we moved over to Rena's room.

Rena's class also had four stations to rotate through. This one is "stick your hand in gooey, icky stuff and guess what it is".....

At this one they played a game and then wrapped someone up as a mummy.....

AND the finished art project.....

This was mine and Maleah's station.....we served snacks (goldfish and cupcakes) and ran the class store. Maleah was very good and serious about collecting the money for all of the goodies that the kids bought at the store.....

SAN DIEGO ZOO FIELDTRIP

Cameron's 2nd grade class went on a field trip to the San Diego Zoo on Friday and I got to go with them! It was a lot of fun....although I could have skipped the bus ride with 60 second graders. :)

A kids play area -- that was a crazy place to keep track of the kids -- luckily we didn't lose anyone.....

This is how I found Cameron and Maleah last night when I went to bed.....

Every once in awhile we find them like this. They start out in their own beds and for some reason they end up in one. Rena probably would have been there also except that she was sick yesterday and was still downstairs when these two went to bed.....

They slept like this through the night. I might have separated them if it was Maleah that I had to carry to a different bed, but carrying Cameron when he is dead asleep is not an easy thing anymore! :)

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL

Today was the annual Halloween carnival at La Costa Meadows Elementary School. The weather wasn't very nice, but we still had a good time riding rides, playing games and eating goodies.....
