PACIFIC BEACH

We went to Pacific Beach down in San Diego today. We didn't really go for the beach, but to go to a "tourist" area to find some souvenirs for Megan & Alex. We hit the jackpot at Pacific Beach.......souvenirs galore!!!! It was a fun place to check out and now that I know where and what it is we may go back again someday for the actual beach!

We had to end our trip with some ice-cream.....

Jeff is teaching the kids some useful skills. He yells "beer me" and they all run to do this.....

LEMONADE FOR SALE

The kids (especially Rena) have been wanting to do a lemonade stand all summer long. I kept putting them off.....until yesterday.....when we finally had a lemonade stand. Rena and Maleah made the signs (with Megan's help). They originally wanted to charge 50 cents a cup, but when I got home from the store with little cups we changed it to 25 cents.....

We didn't get many customers, but the kids still made $26. Funny story -- 2 guys stopped and after they stopped they realized they didn't have any change or bills smaller than a 20. So, they paid the kids 20 bucks for 2 cups of lemonade. I felt bad and tried to give them the whole pitcher, but they said "no" and were just laughing when they drove away.....

We weren't selling much so Maleah decided to just drink the lemonade herself.....

Personally, I think that it was these legs that got the cars to stop.......ha, ha, ha..... :)

(Although, we didn't have many cars stop........wonder if it was the legs!) :(

SEAWORLD.....AGAIN

Last week when we went to SeaWorld one of the shows that we wanted to see got cancelled at the last minute so SeaWorld gave us free one-day tickets. We used them this past Thursday and had another fun day!

When we first walked in we got to see Shamu and his friends.....

We didn't do all of the shows again, but we did go see Cirque de la Mer again. This time we got a front row seat and saw all of the action. These guys amaze me.....

These guys REALLY amaze me.....

The only other show that we went to was the one that got cancelled last time (that earned us the free tickets!). It is a new dolphin show called "Blue Horizons". It was pretty cool.....

This time we spent some time in the "Sesame Street Bay of Play" area and got to see Elmo and Big Bird.....

Best friends.....today.....

We spent some time in the "Wild Arctic".....

And then, it was time to go home.......Megan wanted to ride home in this......

Another fun day!

SHE DID IT

Yesterday Maleah decided to be brave and take her training wheels off of her bike. We headed down to the cul-de-sac for some flat land.

A DAY AT SEAWORLD

The kids and I spent the day on Thursday at SeaWorld. We knew that we wanted to stay for the nighttime Shamu show and the fireworks so we didn't get there until about 1 o'clock, but we still got a good 9 hours of fun in!

To start off the day we got some frozen lemonade, diet coke and popcorn and watched the daytime Shamu show......

Megan was in-charge of the camera again in the Aquarium. She got some good shots.....

The kids (most of them) had fun at the tide pool. Cameron wanted nothing to do with it.....

SeaWorld has this new show Cirque de la Mer......

No animals, just people doing cool things -- like these two guys.....

Next, we had to stop and feed the Flamingo's......

Headed to the Penguins.....

We went to the Pets Rule show. This is one of the kids favorite shows. It has dogs, cats, pigs and birds doing funny tricks. They always want to go to this one.....

We saw A LOT of other things during the day, but ended up back where we started -- at the Shamu show.....

Time for fireworks.....

WHEW.....what a busy and fun day! We are tired -- time to go home.....
