EASTER EGGS

We spent a couple of hours on the Saturday before Easter dying and decorating eggs......

I'm glad that they all liked how they turned out -- now I just have to get them to actually like eating them.  Nobody in our house likes them.  I got Maleah to take a bite of one, but she took one bite and acted like she was going to throw up -- I don't think Cameron or Rena helped by telling her how gross they are before she ever tried it.  Oh well, at least everyone had fun dying and decorating them!

ICE SKATING

Our one big outing during Spring Break was a day at the ice skating rink.  We had many fun days playing with friends at home, but were to happy to be out doing something one day.

We all had a good time -- and we were all pretty good too......

I'M BACK!

Whew -- I've been gone a long time!  My only excuse is that I've been busy and when I haven't been busy, I've been lazy!  :)  Back in February I started another long-term sub position so between working full-time and trying to keep up with these 3 kiddos I slacked on my blog!

Good news, though -- I'm back!!  :)

EASTER PICNIC

Our neighborhood held their annual Easter Breakfast again this year.  It was a fun morning with good food!......and The Easter Bunny......
 

They had games and activities and Maleah got her face painted!!......

LCM OPEN HOUSE

The kids had an open house at their school where they got to display a lot of their art work and class work and then bring their parents to see it one night.  Since I am teaching in the fourth grade classroom right now I didn't get to go to the kids classrooms (I had to be in 4th grade all night), but Jeff got a tour of each of the kids room and also through the art show.

All 3 kids are doing a great job in school.  We are really proud of them for all of their hard work and their great attitudes!  They had a fun night showing Jeff all around the school -- (and the next morning I got a special tour of each of their classrooms before school started!)

Cameron had a good first basketball season!  His team was "Magic".....

It was a pretty good season....it had its ups and downs, but I think Cameron had a lot of fun and learned a bit about the game.

ONE LAST CELEBRATION

On Sunday night Rena got to choose a restaurant for one last birthday celebration.  She chose The Old Spaghetti Factory (with a little push from me!). 

She got a final present....a couple of books and a bookmark from Cameron.  She also got to have 2 bowls of ice-cream -- our waiter forgot it was her birthday when he brought us all our ice-cream so he came back with another bowl of ice-cream and a few other waiters to sing.  It was big excitement......

Rena also got a lot of nice things from our out-of-town friends and family.

Thank you to everyone for helping to make Rena's birthday a happy one! 

CLUB KEYES

On Saturday night Rena had a birthday party with her friends.  She went with a dance theme and we turned our family room into "Club Keyes".

We took a break from dancing to have some pizza - Emma, Rena, Alexis and Hadley......

.....and Rena opened some presents -- Ashlyn, Katie, Emma, Rena, Maya and Makayla.....

After the break (and after it got dark) "Club Keyes" was open for business......

After some dancing we took another break for some cake......

Finally, the night ended with some dance competitions.  The girls paired up a couple of different times and created dances -- here's Rena and Katie showing off theirs......

After the competitions Club Keyes closed down for the night.

Rena had a fantastic night celebrating with her friends!
