A DAY AT THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM

There is a "Bob the Builder" Exhibit at the Seattle Children's Museum right now. Rena had fun posing with all of the characters, but wanted NOTHING to do with the "BOB" that was walking around having story time!

"I SWEAR I'LL NEVER....."

This is one of the things that I swore I would never do when I had kids............."I swear I'll never dress my kids alike!". Well, the girls got matching dresses (different colors atleast) and when I put Maleah's on her this morning Rena decided that she should wear hers also. And so here I have done something that "I swore" I would never do!! :)

RENA'S BIG DAY

Rena had a very big day yesterday.......first she made her first trip to the "beauty salon". The whole way there we had a discussion about how Cameron goes to the barber shop and Rena goes to the beauty salon. She did great and, of course, looks cute! After the beauty salon we went to Kidzbounce where Rena went down the big slide for the very first time. She had a great time and was very proud of herself!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

This was our last treat of the day...........chocolate cake with pink frosting!
PARTY CENTRAL --We decorated the dining room for a Valentine's Day party! The decorations didn't last long.......Maleah thought it was fun to pull them down.........but we had fun putting them up!

The first treat of the day -- heart shaped pancakes with red sprinkles..........it was a day full of sugar!!

VALENTINE ROSES

I got these beautiful roses from Jeff for Valentine's Day. Rena was very confused about why I would need new flowers when she just got me flowers and a vase for Christmas............
...........while Rena did pick out these great flowers for me at the dollar store I still liked my fresh roses today!! :)

OH MALEAH........

Maleah has turned into quite the jumper and climber. This morning she made herself a little "track" going from the giraffe to the ottoman to dad in the chair..........and then down and up again! Not only does she do these little tracks, but she has also figured out that she no longer has to stay in her crib when she's not sleeping........she can climb out all on her own. Looks like we are almost done with the crib and onto a "big girl bed". YIKES!!

PUZZLE TIME

Grandma and Grandpa Keyes came for a visit this weekend. Grandma always get stuck reading, playing games and putting together puzzles the whole time she is here. I think she had been up for about 30 seconds this morning before Cameron had Candy Land out to play. The kids love it when they are here visiting!!

THE WOODLAND PARK ZOO




The sun was shining yesterday morning so we took a trip to the zoo. It wasn't very warm, but the kids didn't seem to mind........and neither did I!! It was nice to get out and spend some time outdoors. The zoo also has an indoor play area for the kids so we stopped in there to warm up for a bit. The kids had a great and I'm sure we'll be going back soon!!

A DAY WITH FRIENDS

Tuesday was a fun day filled with lots of friends.....Laurel, Marcus and Adam made a trip down from Canada to visit for the day. We enjoyed seeing them and it was a lot of fun to get the whole group together again. We had Stephanie, Sydney and Sara here in the morning. Jill and Christian made it over in the morning also and then came back in the afternoon with Campbelle. And Pamela and Taylor also made it in the morning and in the afternoon with Davis. It was a FUN day and we are already looking forward to the next visit!!

AN ICE-SKATING FIELD TRIP


Cameron's preschool went ice-skating this morning. My friend Jill kept the girls so that I could go with Cameron. It was a fun morning and I sure enjoyed getting to do something just with Cameron. AND he was pretty good..........

WE HAVE A WINNER

Maleah was the first to pee in the potty!! I don't think she has any clue what she actually did, but she did it. We were really only putting Maleah on the potty to get Rena to sit down on hers so we were sure surprised when she actually used it.....if only she was truly potty trained now!!

MALEAH'S 18 MONTH PICTURES

Maleah did NOT want to get her picture taken!!! We tried everything that we could to get her to stop crying and look at the camera. In the end the only thing that worked was having her sit on my lap. I think the pictures turned out pretty cute.....especially considering her mood!
She's going to hate this one when she's a teenager!! :)

OUT WITH THE OLD.....

In with the new.....

We finally replaced our 20 year old dishwasher this weekend. WOW -- the things that make me happy!! :) As you can see, Jeff had A LOT of help installing it. Rena would have been down there "helping" too, but she didn't get up from her nap in time. Luckily this new dishwasher has a "lockout" feature because Maleah immediately discovered all of the buttons that she can push.
