CAMERON'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

To celebrate Cameron's birthday he chose to invite a few friends and go play Laser Tag.  Here is Doug, Ethan, Liam, Adam, Cameron, Max and Jeff waiting to start......

It was a fun time for all of us.  The best part of the party was that Jeff & I didn't have to do a thing once we got there.  We got to play all 3 games with the kids, had pizza and cake served to us and didn't have to do a thing for clean up -- the laser tag people took care of it all!  Here we are relaxing and having fun........

HAPPY 11TH BIRTHDAY CAMERON!

Cameron is now 11 years old!  YIKES!  I know I say it every time one of the kids has a birthday, but seriously "WHERE HAVE THE YEARS GONE?"  It could not go by any faster because it is already flying by!

Cameron's birthday was on the first day of school so we went out for dinner on Sunday - the night before birthday day.  Cameron was happy with his burger, smoothie and ice-cream desert........

Rena and Maleah were pretty happy with his desert also......

After dinner we went back home and he opened up some gifts.  He got some pretty great things and is really excited to spend some of those gift cards and money!

On his birthday and after school Cameron, Rena and Maleah all had soccer practice.  It was a quick trip home to change into gear before heading to Panda Express (Cameron's favorite food) for some take out and then on to the first soccer practice.

 



After soccer practice we headed back home to end the day with some sweet treats.....

It was a very busy day, but I think Cameron had a good day!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

First day of school and everyone is ready to go on time!

Hard to believe, but Maleah is starting 3rd grade.......

Rena is starting 4th grade.......

And Cameron is starting 5th grade......

They all picked out their own outfits and were very excited to start the new year!......

 

I even had a 1st day of school picture this year.  My first day in 5th grade at La Costa Meadows Elementary School!......

 

It was a good day for all of us!

I'M BACK!

I've been gone awhile again, but I'm back (at least for now!) Things have been CRAZY with the start of school. I found out 1 week before school was starting that there was a 5th grade position available at La Costa Meadows Elementary School and that I got the job!!!!

It's been a lot of work, but I am really loving it.

The kids are all enjoying school also. They all like their teachers and are all doing great!

On top of school soccer has started. Cameron is on one time and the girls are on another. First practice was on the first day of school and now we have 4 nights of practice during the week and games on Saturday. It adds a bit to our schedule, but the kids are loving it!

ROLLER SKATING

A couple of weeks ago our church hosted a roller skating night out.  The girls were all for it -- Cameron was not too excited when we were on our way there, but he ended up having a great time -- (I think he might have even ended up liking it the most.)

Rena just took off right when she got out there.  She was moving pretty fast and having a good time......

Maleah wasn't quite as willing to just go for it as Rena was.  She stuck pretty close to the side and didn't want me to leave her.  She sped up a little bit before the night was over and was having fun, but she was NOT going to win any races!

Cameron didn't have any problems.  He got right out there and had fun -- he waved to me every time he lapped Maleah and I!

Skate time is over -- time to go home!.......

NEW EARS

After a lot of convincing (and a few beers) Jeff finally agreed that the girls could get their ears pierced!  They have been working on him for a couple of years now so when he finally said "YES" you can imagine the excitement.  They wanted to do it right then (but it was about 10pm in Hawaii when he actually said it) so they had to wait until we got back home from vacation.

For Maleah's they had two people do hers so that they could do both ears at the same time, but with Rena's the gal wanted to do them one at a time because she has a little skin tag on the back of one ear and she wanted to make sure she didn't need to adjust the placement of the second one after the first one was done.  I was so worried that Rena was going to get one ear done and not got through with the second one, but all went well and she left with both ears pierced!

Tomorrow will be exactly 5 weeks since they had them pierced -- just one more week before they can take them out and change them.  I will be so happy when I stop hearing "can we change them today?"  :)

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

We got home from Hawaii on July 3rd and threw together a quick July 4th party with the neighbors and The McCullough's (the local ones!).  Here's Cameron, Max, Grace, Benjamin, Jacinda, Rena, Maleah and Gabby.  (Greyson and Decklan arrived later.)

After it got dark we headed over to Hale and Jason's house to watch some fireworks.  They can see the fireworks from the Aviara Resort and from LEGOLAND from their backyard.  All of the kids watched from the balcony.
